STEPS FOR COMPLETING THE EXAMINATION

Follow the steps below to submit your application and take the examination.

Step 1. Apply using your CalCareers account to Exam Code: EX-02387.
Or, submit your Examination Application (STD 678), found at www.calcareers.ca.gov, either by mail or in person to the address listed below.


Step 2. Certify that you have submitted your STD 678.

Step 3. Proceed to the examination and submit for processing upon completion.

Note: If you do not submit your STD 678, your exam will not be processed. Please ensure you have submitted your STD 678 prior to completing the examination. Per California Code of Regulations 174 (c) a separate application must be filed for each examination. Applications (STD 678s) filed for Job Advertisements are separate from the examination.

The preferred method to apply is through CalCareers.

Electronic signatures are acceptable.

Indicate the Classification in the “Examination(s) or Job Title for Which You Are Applying” field on your Examination/Employment Application (STD 678).
