An individual contract relates to a document containing your conditions of employment and pay that is negotiated between an individual staff member and the employer. You are responsible for securing the best conditions and pay for yourself.

A collective agreement, such as an Enterprise Agreement, relates to a document containing the conditions of employment and pay that relate to a group of workers. This is negotiated on your behalf by your Union representatives with the employer. The Union secures conditions and pay that are equal across the workforce according to their position.
