Summer Scholars Program Administered by the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Application

The Summer Scholarship Program, administered by the Houston Methodist Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, is designed to facilitate professional development opportunities for undergraduate scholars interested in pursuing a career in health care. Our program provides mentorship, hands-on exposure, and learning across the Houston Methodist system.

Accepted scholars will spend 10 weeks in a non-clinical department to learn about department operations and build their network of healthcare professionals. Invited participants are awarded $6,000 direct payment scholarship.

Please submit applications before 11:59 p.m. on January 1, 2025. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
