Ireland / Northern Ireland record keeping census 2024
Introduction
The purpose of this census is to better understand how many people work with archives and records (record keeping) across the island of Ireland. We want to make sure we hear from all those working towards the care and preservation of Ireland’s archival heritage and the records that will form the archives of tomorrow.
We are a a profession where many individuals work on their own or within very small teams. It is therefore vital that we share knowledge, insight and good practice. Your response will illustrate the extent of record keeping in Ireland and Northern Ireland, which will help us lobby for additional funding/resourcing and recognition.
We would be very grateful if you could complete the following questions by 6th December 2024. Please note that this survey is being promoted by multiple organisations. If you have already received an invitation to take part, please ensure you only complete the survey once to avoid accidental duplication.
