Abstract:
Diabetes prevalence in Canada 2019 is 3.7 million patients growing to 4.8 million patients by 2029. Despite the advancement in medical therapies, many patients are not reaching the targets required to reduce the risk of diabetic complications. Pharmacy technicians are ideally positioned to help educate patient with diabetes. This session will explore how pharmacy technicians can use their scope, skill, and knowledge to help manage patients with diabetes.
