About this survey

The Government has launched a consultation on preventing charges for DIY waste at household waste recycling centres in England and Wales. The move, which is part of a fresh attempt to crack down on fly-tipping, may have a profound impact on local council waste disposal services.

APSE has designed this survey in order to gather accurate data on the current state of DIY waste charges across English and Welsh local authority HWRCs, and the potential impact government changes may have on the future delivery of waste and recycling services. This data will then be submitted as part of APSE’s response to the Government consultation; ensuring the voices of local authority waste professionals are represented fairly and accurately.

The survey will take less than ten minutes of your time. If you are unable to respond to all of the questions, please consult a colleague or forward a copy of the survey link. All responses will be treated in the strictest confidence.

We would be grateful if you could complete this survey by Friday 24 June 2022.
