Arts and culture play a vital role in the livability of any community. Our creative presence and future is in our collective hands.
The Summerland Arts & Culture Award recognizes and celebrates achievement and extraordinary contributions in and to the vibrant arts and culture scene in Summerland the award seeks to increase the visibility of art and culture in Summerland and honour those that contribute.
Whether by leading, volunteering, performing, or supporting the award will recognize a Summerland citizen who has made consistent contributions to arts and culture in Summerland.
Please nominate an individual worthy of recognition for their contributions to arts and culture in Summerland.
Who is Eligible?
Nominees must be over the age of 19 and reside in Summerland. High profile and out there, or quietly behind the scenes let us know who contributes. As a dedicated volunteer or a professional that goes beyond expectations and requirements.
We are asking you to nominate a worthy contributor by filling out the nomination form.
Nominations must be received no later than 4:30pm, January 31, 2023. All nominations will be reviewed through an adjudication process by an independent panel.
Supporting Documents
For additional consideration by the selection committee, all nominations should be accompanied by some supporting descriptors and if possible, documentation that can take any form including letters or support or news clippings. Please refrain from submitting original photographs or documents; if submitted they will not be returned. The selection committee will consider all nominations.
The Arts & Culture Award will be awarded at the Summerland Business Excellence and Community Awards Gala on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Centre Stage Theatre.
