The National Interagency Support Cache (NISC) system, which is chartered under National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) Equipment and Technology Committee, carries firefighter clothing built to the Forest Service specifications. The U. S. Forest Service National Technology and Development Program (NTDP) administers the firefighter pant specification 5100-92 and has been tasked to conduct a product review of the pants design.
The first step of the project is to gather data from you, the firefighter wearing these pants. This product questionnaire will focus on the fit and function of the FS specification pants that you primarily wear. If you want to evaluate the other FS specification pants you have worn, complete additional surveys. The three styles are:

Model - 2009 Para-aramid (Kevlar) Light Spruce Green· Model - 1999 Meta-aramid (Nomex IIIA) Dark Spruce Green
If you have not worn any of these Forest Service specification pants, please do not take this survey.
In this survey, you will be asked to take waist, thigh, inseam and outseam body measurements. To do this accurately, use a flexible measuring tape that conforms to your body. Please take the measurements directly against the body or undergarments, not over the top of pants, belts, or accessories.
Many of the questions have rating numbers and comment boxes. Please use the comment box for constructive criticism – what specifically you like and don’t like.
