Welcome to the Antioch Downtown Beautification Plan survey!
To create a vision for Downtown’s streetscapes, open spaces, pedestrian areas, parking lots, and newly acquired Downtown property, the Village of Antioch initiated a design and planning process in late February 2021. The Village Board hired The Lakota Group, a Chicago-based firm specializing in urban design, landscape architecture, planning, community engagement, and historic preservation, to conduct the process and develop the plan.
Key steps in the process will focus on collecting and reviewing data; preparing maps; meeting with Village leaders, staff, and stakeholders; conducting land-use and physical conditions analyses; and identifying issues and opportunities. This will be followed by the creation of a clear and exciting vision for Downtown, built on community input, celebrating Antioch’s unique qualities and setting the stage for a vibrant and resilient local economy.
