North Carolina is part of a historic agreement that will help bring desperately needed relief to communities impacted by opioids, including Cumberland County. Cumberland County Government is estimated to receive $30,714,941 over an 18-year period (2022-2038). After a 2022 community needs assessment, Cumberland County Commissioners designated funding for several pilot projects based on initial feedback from the community. Learn more about the pilot projects here.
The Cumberland County Commissioners are seeking additional representative community input about the strategies that may be supported with opioid settlement funds. Feedback will be shared with the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners to determine how funds will be spent. Survey responses are anonymous.
