YMCA Financial Assistance

YMCA of Pictou County

The YMCA is a registered charity and we offer financial assistance for YMCA Membership, Registered Y programs and unlicensed Y After School Care. Assistance is offered for up to one year and can be renewed through a renewal process on an annual basis.

New: Our Y now also offers temporary assistance for licensed child care and after school care for government subsidy wait times.

We use a sliding scale to assess how much Y Financial Assistance you can qualify for based on household income and the number of people supported by that income in your household.

As a charity that is in good standing with CRA, we require to view your Income Tax Notice of Assessment for all adults in the household as qualifiers. We only view, we do not save copies or accept copies.

Our Y also has several partners that can approve access to Y Financial Assistance on our behalf; Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Y Reach, Schools Plus, Women's Centre and Kids First.
