The County of Prince Edward is seeking applications from MOBILE RESTAURANTS who are interested in providing food and/or beverages at the Wellington Rotary Beach for the summer 2023 season.

o Vehicle description, dimensions and photos
o Valid Licence to operate a Mobile Restaurant in the County of Prince Edward OR statement of intent to obtain a licence if selected for this opportunity
o Menu, including descriptions, prices and explanation of how it will attract and serve the anticipated clientele at the Wellington Beach
o Plans for supporting local, through efforts such as sourcing products, ingredients and service items from County-based vendors and providing employment to County residents
o Capacity, meaning the approximate number of customers that can be served per hour, and an outline of how vendors will replenish items if they run out.
o Staffing plan, including how the vehicle will be staffed to simultaneously prepare and serve food and beverages, manage line ups, keep the area clean and tidy, and reliably operate for the minimum required days and hours (for example, current staff, available back-up staff)
o Environmental considerations relating to vehicle, e.g., no idling engine, products sold, packaging, waste disposal.

The Successful applicants may begin operating as soon as the contract is approved, and the season can extend to the end of October; however, the successful operator(s) MUST meet a minimum commitment to operate every Saturday, Sunday and statutory holidays in July and August. The statutory holidays are Monday, July 3 (Canada Day), and Monday, August 7 (Civic Holiday).
It is the County's intention to select two eligible Mobile Restaurants to operate at the Wellington Beach for the 2023 season. The leasing fee for one vehicle will range from $750 to $1,000, depending entirely on the length of commitment expressed by the operator in their application.

Leasing fees do not include licensing fees, insurance or any other costs incurred by operators.
Leasing fees will not be refunded due to inclement weather.
In 2022, Wellington Rotary Beach saw 11,274 visits on weekends and Holidays from May to September, an average of 313 visitors per day. Interested parties are encouraged to conduct careful analysis of the Wellington Rotary Beach site and service needs described here when developing their application.
