Thank you for your interest in the Newark Public Schools. To apply to become a substitute teacher you must have at least 60 college credits. Candidates must not have any prior criminal
record. Completing the online application will take about 5 to 10 minutes. You must click the "submit" button at the bottom of each page and you must click the "submit" button at the bottom of the final page to complete the online application.
Once your application is received in our system, you will get an automatic acknowledgement that we received it.
If you meet the criteria of college credits and basic literacy you will be scheduled for a phone interview within two (2) weeks.
