Dear Candidate,

Thank you for your interest in the C5 + Opening Networks through English (C5 + O.N.E. Ed) Program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic and implemented by World Learning. World Learning will select 200 participants joining the program from January 2025 through March 2026.

Program Audience:
The C5 + O.N.E program is designed for early-career English-language teachers from Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan).

Program Goal:
· To enhance participants’ teaching skills and English proficiency.
· To nurture teacher professional development networks throughout the Central Asian (C5) region.
· To create a strong network of educators who can deliver high-quality English instruction, especially in programs like C5 + O.N.E. and the English Access Scholarship Program and other U.S. government-funded programs.

Program Logistics:
· The program will run from January 2025 through March 2026.
· The program will be conducted online with 1-month intensive workshop in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
· The program will be led by specialized instructors and experts from the United States and various other countries around the world.

Eligibility Requirements:
· Have at least a bachelor’s degree in education, pedagogy, English‐language, or a related field.
· Be aged 22 to 40 years old at the start of the in‐person workshop (July 2025).
· Have five years or fewer of full‐time English teaching experience at the secondary school or university level.
· Be a citizen of a Central Asian (C5) country.
· Intend to return to and continue teaching in home C5 country after the workshop’s conclusion.
· Have a minimum B1 English level (verified through an online placement test, arranged for by the project).
