The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) is pleased to be launching a new online QA assessment program.
The case-based assessment (CBA) presents 30 situational judgment cases that have been developed by groups of Registered Psychotherapists representing diverse communities of practice, modalities, and years of practice.
Each case relates to one CRPO Professional Practice Standard and has five possible response options. You will be asked to rank the options in order from the option that is most aligned (rank 1) with the Standard to the option that is least aligned (rank 5) to the Standard.
This practice assessment has twenty sample cases for you to try. You will be able to see the format of the cases and practice how to rank the response options.
Before you begin, please note the following:
After you rank the options and click on “Next”, the optimal answer sequence will appear.
Your responses to the sample questions are not saved or graded by CRPO. The questions are provided for practice and intended as a self-assessment exercise.
The online assessment is “open book”, meaning you will be able to refer to the Professional Practice Standards and any other resources you might want to use during the assessment.
CBA prep resources and frequently asked questions, including “How do I prepare for the assessment?”, are available here: Quality Assurance Program (crpo.ca)
