Central U.P. Regional Housing Partnership
Michigan’s first Statewide Housing Plan was released in 2022 to address the numerous challenges limiting access to safe, healthy, affordable, accessible, and attainable housing for all in a community of their choice. With respect to our region, the Central UP Regional Housing Partnership was formed to serve the interests of Alger, Delta, Dickinson, Marquette, Menominee, and Schoolcraft counties.
Ultimately, the Regional Housing Partnerships were tasked with building a connected, collaborative housing ecosystem to address the affordable housing crisis in their communities. The effort resulted in an Action Plan which reflected the Statewide Housing Plan’s goals, but also identified key priorities for the Central UP.
Currently, the Central U.P. Regional Housing Partnership is seeking community feedback on the goals proposed for the region. The survey includes 28 questions and should take no more than fifteen minutes to complete. Understanding what is most important to you will help the region understand how to best achieve housing stability for all.
More information about the Statewide Housing Plan and the Regional Housing Partnerships is available on the MSHDA website.
