Fire Master Plan

The Municipality of Centre Hastings, and the Centre Hastings Fire Department (CHFD) has a proud tradition of assisting residents and effectively responding to emergencies. Led by Fire Chief Derek Snider, the CHFD is a team of 40 dedicated volunteer professional firefighters. In addition to firefighting, and life saving services, the department prioritizes fire prevention, fire inspections and community risk reduction through community fire education programs.
In our ongoing efforts to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our community, the CHFD are creating a 10-year community-driven fire master plan to guide operational improvements and enhance the fire service levels provided throughout the community.
We have engaged the Emergency Management Group Inc. (EMG) to assist us with this initiative. EMG is a consulting firm that has worked with many fire departments in developing their fire master plans, station assessments, and fire service reviews.
To successfully gather feedback, we need your assistance and ask that you take the time to complete this survey. Your confidential responses will help to ensure a focused action that continues to meet the diverse needs of all residents.
Please complete the survey by December 13, 2024.
