XSEDE12 Student Program Support Request |
The National Science Foundation is providing limited funding to support student travel, lodging and/or registration costs for attending XSEDE12.
Please fill out the following application to apply for student funding to attend XSEDE12. Students who have submitted a paper, poster or visualization for XSEDE12 or students who attended the 2012 OSG User School will be given preference, but we encourage all students attending XSEDE12 to apply. We will review all applicants and will notify you a month before the conference at the latest if you have been granted funding. Students who submitted to the conference will be notified along with their XSEDE12 conference submission acceptance.
The staff of the XSEDE12 Student Program are interested in offering the most beneficial opportunities for its participants. To help address this priority, an evaluation team led by Dr. Lizanne DeStefano at the University of Illinois will be evaluating the program. Your opinion is extremely valuable to improve the program. As a participant in this program you will be required to participate in the evaluation activities involving surveys, observations, and interviews. You may choose to not have your responses used for research purposes. Regardless, your answers will be kept confidential; we will not report individual responses to faculty/staff or mention any student by name. Whether or not you agree to have your responses used for research purposes will not affect your standing in the program. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Lizanne DeStefano (destefan@illinois.edu; 217-333-9625) or Lorna Rivera (lirivera@illinois.edu).
If you have any questions about your rights as a participant in this study or any concerns or complaints, please contact the University of Illinois Institutional Review Board at 217-333-2670 (collect calls will be accepted if you identify yourself as a research participant) or via email at irb@illinois.edu. If you have any questions about this study, you may contact Lizanne DeStefano at destefan@illinois.edu or at 217-333-9625.
