State Health Equity Plan: Areas of Focus Feedback Survey |
1. Introduction
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) – Office of Policy and Planning, Fusion Center and Office of Health Equity – is working in collaboration with a range of partners to create a State Health Equity Plan (SHEP). The purpose of the SHEP is to:
- Elevate equity as a strategic priority
- Reflect and align existing health equity efforts
- Provide clear guidance, establish priorities, and set goals for health equity state-wide
- Builds the evidence base for long-term equity infrastructure investments (local and state)
- Finally—meet a deliverable of the California Equitable Recovery Initiative (CERI)
The Plan will communicate a set of result domains and areas of focus, along with shared strategies and measurement to reflect current efforts and advance equity-focused actions to make a greater impact.
The purpose of this initial engagement and feedback survey is to obtain input on the preliminary areas of focus, as well as begin to collect equity-focused strategies related to these areas. There are four sections (organized by result domain) in this feedback survey, which we anticipate would take 10-15 min total to complete.
