Thank you for participating in this survey.

By participating in this survey you agree to allow GPEx to use deidentified information for the purposes of general practice workforce planning.

The contract for the Workforce Planning and Prioritisation (WPP) Program in South Australia was awarded in late 2022 to a GPEx-led consortium, with GPEx’s consortium partners being Adelaide PHN and the South Australian Department of Health and Wellbeing. This program was established to support the transition to college-led training for the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) Program, with an aim to inform GP Registrar placements to meet current and future GP workforce needs.

This survey aims to assist us in deepening our knowledge of the workforce needs across regions throughout South Australia known as GP Catchments to identify areas where placements may be the most effective. Through this survey, the WPP Team is particularly interested in understanding the challenges and difficulties faced within a region. Your insights are invaluable to our work as we know pure statistics cannot give the full picture when it comes to general practice across our state.

Your local insights combined with quantitative data, allows GPEx to provide tailored and informed recommendations to the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care and GP Colleges via our program reporting.

It is important to note that GPEx is not responsible for the placement or allocation of GP Registrar training. Our recommendations to the colleges are not guaranteed to be implemented or finalised; this responsibility ultimately rests with the GP Colleges.

Rest assured, all responses provided will be treated with strict anonymity. Should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to GPEx via email at projects@gpex.com.au or visit our website.
