About how many hours a week do you teach classes? About how many hours a week do you spend preparing those classes? Are you compensated for that time?

Does teaching group fitness classes constitute the majority of your income? Does teaching group fitness provide you with a comfortable living wage?

Are you offered any benefits in your group fitness contracts like paid time off, sick leave, retirement funding, healthcare, childcare, or others? Please explain.

If you work at multiple gyms/ studios, how do your contracts between gyms vary? How do you manage contract negotiations and tracking proper allocation of income/ benefits?

Annually, about how much of your own income do you use on re-certification or additional education? About how much of your own income do you spend practicing your craft (i.e., attending other group fitness classes)?

Do any of your employers require that you re-certify in your instruction modalities? How often? Do they require that you pay for their particular training program, or will they accept outside certs? Do they expect you to pay for their training programs?
