Personnel from law enforcement agencies and security forces are invited to register to this online learning program on Handling Live Animals in the Context of Law Enforcement Operations. This program is designed to address challenges commonly identified with wildlife trafficking and focuses on knowledge and resources needed by the law enforcement sector to safely and humanely handle live animals.
This program is part of the Confiscated Animals - Rescue and Enforcement (CARE) project, an initiative made possible thanks to the support of the US Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL). CARE is a project developed by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and partners Jakarta Animal Aid Network, the Jane Goodall Institute and Legal Atlas to improve governments' capacity to interdict illegal wildlife and handle confiscated live animals, such that their evidentiary value is maintained.
