Community Organizer Application
The 100 Acre Partnership (Partnership) is seeking to hire between 8-10 Community Organizers. The Partnership is composed of the Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority (MRCA), the City of Los Angeles (City) and the California Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks).
Community Organizers will serve as part of the Organizing Team and will be hired by and report to Lee Andrews Group, the Community Engagement and Outreach Consultant for the 100 Acre Partnership’s Paseo del Río and Proposition O Water Quality Improvement Projects. This will be a part time position and the hourly rate will be $20. This may include night and weekend work. Community Organizers may be retained by Lee Andrews Group to provide assistance on additional, yet separate projects, for which they will be compensated apart from the budget provided by MRCA.
Examples of duties may include providing project updates to residents, business owners and schools in the communities of Atwater Village, Cypress Park Elysian Valley, and Glassell Park through canvassing, tabling at community events, attending meetings, and conducting surveys.
