Meegwetch for expressing interest in the Natural Helpers for the Children Learning Circle. This program is designed with a broad audience in mind making it suitable for:
- any community member with an interest in supporting families with young children
- those currently working with children and families to increase their knowledge in this area and learn more about how communities as a whole play a key role in supporting infant and early mental health
- students or those thinking of a career in this area
The Learning Circle will increase knowledge and skill in the area of infant and early mental health while also building community capacity. The program aims to build knowledge and skills to better support every child's overall development, with a focus on mental health, which is a foundational element of child development.
The program will start during the week of January 13, 2025 and run until the week of March 3, 2025. Our program facilitators are Brittany Biedermann, Meagan Cheechoo, Lindsay Linklater-Weistche and Bernice Kapashesit. We are accepting a maximum of 20 participants. It consists of 7 weekly 2 hour sessions that may be attended in-person or online if needed. There is also approximately 1 hour max of weekly pre-recorded content to be reviewed each week prior to the live session. A certificate of completion will be presented to each participant upon completion of the Learning Circle.
