Below are the general descriptions for each position:
Each of these positions carry out a few of their own responsibilities, but all are responsible for helping to plan, organize, and execute events, social media, and any other ALD projects that the E-Board deems fit within their scope. Below is a description of the shared expectations for all Executive Board positions as well as descriptions of each, individual position:
Requirements for All Executive Board Positions:
1. Guide the organization and the purpose of Alpha Lambda Delta.
2. Attend all Executive Board Meetings.
3. Attend and collaborate all social and community service events unless stated otherwise (number of events is decided by the eboard and could be as few as 1 per semester).
4. Assist in the planning and delivery of monthly programs and events exclusively for ALD members (could be as few as 1 or 2 a semester).
5. Collaborate on providing chapter members information on the ALD Facebook and Instagram pages, which include social media postings for events, scholarships, and office hours.
6. Plan, organize, promote, and facilitate one program in the academic year and collaborate with other E-Board members and advisors for support as needed.
7. Members shall maintain a commitment to 48-hour email response.
8. Represent ALD and Salem State University in a professional and respectable manner by abiding by the SSU community standards and policies.
9. Registered in a course of study leading to a bachelor's degree for the amount of work equal to the average full load (12-15 credit hours).
10. Must have a minimum cumulative and semester grade point average (GPA) of 2.50.
President:
Will be the official head of the Executive Board; create agendas and lead the meetings of the Executive Board; Collaborate with other Executive Board members that social and community events are coordinated (i.e. spaces are booked, event forms are filled out, and social media is coordinated); Oversee that the ALD social media pages are up-to-date and active.
Vice President:
Will perform as President in the absence of the elected President. The Vice President shall be responsible for the design and implementation of a community service/volunteerism project during the academic calendar year.
Secretary:
Shall be responsible for recording of attendance and minutes from each meeting and uploading them on the ALD Trello Board. In addition, the Secretary is responsible for the creation of Monthly ALD Newsletters and sending to ALD listserves for approval.
Treasurer:
Shall be responsible for assisting the advisor in collecting memberships dues and maintaining a balanced budget. Responsible for putting on one social event during the academic year. Shall work with the advisor in reviewing E-Board finances and recommending budget proposals for the E-Board.
