How do YOU define induced demand?

Graham’s paper explores 6 dimensions of induced demand – the mode or modes it refers to, whether it’s a peak or all day phenomenon, the source of demand (e.g. route choice, mode shift, etc), the subject (i.e. person or vehicle), the metric used to measure it and the spatial extent (i.e. local or city-wide).

This short multiple choice survey is seeking to capture your view on these 6 dimensions, which in combination effectively represents your definition of induced demand. There’s no right or wrong answer.

We are simply seeking to understand the extent to which the AITPM community is aligned in its definition of induced demand.
