Faculty Committees & Boards
Course Standing Committees: Each bachelors program has a Course Standing Committee (CSC). The CSC oversees the development, delivery and academic management of a bachelor course, which is a University course administratively supported by a custodial faculty. The CSC is responsible for ensuring the University’s policy in relation to bachelor courses is appropriately translated into practice and that learning outcomes and the student experience are periodically monitored. The CSC advises the Provost on matters concerning course management and delivery and, through the Academic Programs Committee, reports to the Academic Board and its committees on relevant academic matters.
Faculty Boards: Faculty Boards committees may initiate and make suggestions to the Deans, as well as respond to and make comment on advice provided by the Deans on a range of issues. Some Faculty Boards are filled by the individual faculties and UMSU fills the committees listed above.
