Recreation Centre in Lillooet

As you may or may not be aware the Dist of Lillooet has run into severe budget challenges. At one point this spring, it was slated for closure December 31, however the council bought some time and the facility will now be open in 2016. The Sta'atimc and District of Lillooet have struck a working group to explore options for financing the Recreation centre. The question came up whether the Area A and Area B would/should be invited to join this working group. If we are invited to join and do, this may indicate we (taxpayers of Area A) may be willing to fund this Recreation Centre through taxation or otherwise. I am polling to get your thoughts on this.

Don't join the committee, we have so many other priorities and challenges to spend time and energy on.
