Survey on the use of palliative radiotherapy in pediatric oncology patients |
Dear members,
We would like to ask you to take a few minutes of your time to complete the survey on the role of palliative radiotherapy in the paediatric patient.
Palliative radiotherapy is an important therapeutic option for cancer patients, aimed at relieving symptoms caused by progressive or metastatic tumours that are not amenable to radical intervention.
Palliative radiotherapy is also used in paediatric patients, both for symptom control and to prevent or treat skeletal complications, spinal cord compression, and haemorrhagic or obstructive syndromes. However, data on the actual use of this resource is scarce, as is information on any barriers to the use of palliative RT in the paediatric population. Therefore, this survey aims to analyze the use of palliative RT in clinical practice in the paediatric population.
Deadline: December 8th
Thank you in advance for your participation.
Yours sincerely,
SIOPE Radiation Oncology Working Group and SIOPE Palliative Working Group
