We need your input, to plan needed training through the EITP, ITAs, WIOA, and other grant & cost-sharing programs. 

NOTE – Industry clusters of particular interest are:  Manufacturing, Cyber Security / IT, Aerospace, Healthcare, Construction & Transportation.  However, all businesses are encouraged to communicate your needs of all types, so cost-saving training can be addressed when there is a shared need (i.e. customer service, leadership, project management, etc.).

The Chamber, SEDA, PARCA Ed/Workforce committee and the North AlabamaWorks! (regional workforce council) are working together to find out what everyone's training needs are, so we can help arrange for the most cost-effective, collective training opportunities for all interested employers.  

Some high-demand training may also qualify for grant funding (YOUR  TAX  DOLLARS  AT  WORK!), and other cost-saving programs, which can save employers some, if not all of the expense!  

Using employers’ collective responses, training will be planned according to the greatest needs and those training opportunities will be opened to other employers, to provide the best cost-savings possible.

In 2019 Northwest-Shoals Community College launched the Community Partners Scholarship opportunity for tuition scholarships to all full-time (30 hours+) employees of chamber-member businesses of the Shoals, Franklin County, Haleyville, Lawrence County & Rogersville Chambers of Commerce.

Scholarships are applicable to all degree and certificate programs, at both campuses, including online offerings. Proof of eligibility is required.
