Welcome
The Worcestershire VCSE Alliance aims to promote a strong and visible VCSE Sector, supporting and promoting the work of registered charities, not-for-profit companies, and community groups across the county. We do this by encouraging collaboration between VCSE organisations, and by facilitating communication between the VCSE sector and public sector organisations such as the NHS and Local Authorities.
The Alliance is undertaking a major research and evaluation project “Understanding and Strengthening the VCSE”, funded by Worcestershire County Council. The aim of this research is to build an evidence-base of the key strengths and challenges of the sector, alongside robust evidence of impact. This will be used to advocate for and represent the sector to public sector organisations, and to inform future priorities.

This survey is part of Phase Two of the research, and aims to achieve the following:
- Develop a more detailed picture of the services delivered by the VCSE Sector in Worcestershire;
- Identify the current strengths, challenges, opportunities and areas for development for the VCSE Sector in the county;
- Develop a better understanding of the gaps in services to inform future priorities.

We encourage all VCSE organisations operating in Worcestershire- large and small charities, not-for-profit companies, and community groups- to complete this survey, in order to develop a true picture of the sector.
We estimate that the survey will take around 25 minutes to complete. Some questions ask about sources of funding and about the number of staff and volunteers in your organisation, and so the survey is best completed by someone who has knowledge of your whole organisation (or for regional/ national organisations, an overview of work in Worcestershire).
