Woodside Ave Open Street (Little Thailand Way) & Elmhurst Community Planning Survey |
The New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) is collecting community feedback on a proposal to enhance the public ream, support local businesses, and improve pedestrian and cyclist safety near the Woodside Avenue Open Street, also known as “Little Thailand Way”. To better understand community concerns in Elmhurst, this survey also asks questions about experiences and challenges in the broader neighborhood.
The Woodside Avenue Open Street was one of the first to launch in 2020 when the program began. Due to its success, in 2022 the site was allocated funding from the State of the City to reimagine the Open Street. In 2024, NYC DOT will pilot a redesign of the Open Street, followed by a full reconstruction in 2028 after additional community outreach and visioning.
