The Town is currently researching the environmental and economic benefits of reuse water. Water reuse (also commonly known as water recycling or water reclamation) reclaims water from a variety of sources and then treats and reuses it for beneficial purposes such as agriculture, irrigation, industrial processes, and environmental restoration. Water reuse can provide alternatives to existing water supplies and be used to enhance water security, sustainability, and resilience (https://www.epa.gov/waterreuse/basic-information-about-water-reuse#basics).
During the summer months, irrigation makes up approximately one third of water consumption within Surf City. The ability to provide water reuse would help preserve aquafers the town currently uses. Please answer the following questions so town staff may gain a better understanding of your input on the subject.
