What We are Looking for
Workshops that demonstrate the ability to embed presentation content into the professional workplace of attendees are highly valued. PWDA selects workshops based on clearly articulated terms that demonstrate strong value-add for attendees. Vendors who sell products and consultative type services are encouraged to sponsor or exhibit.
Audience
Past attendees of PWDA’s Annual Conference include staff of local workforce development areas, service providers, education and training institutions, economic development, community-based organizations, local/county government, state agency partners, along with a “who’s who” among workforce development decision-makers and professionals.
Workshop Formats
Workshop times are scheduled in 50-minute increments and can feature up to three (3) speakers. Will your workshop be formatted as a lecture? Panel discussion? Group interaction/discussion? Hands on demonstration? What works best for the content you’re presenting? Keep this in mind when submitting your proposal.
Audio/Visual
PWDA strongly encourages interactive workshops, including the use of audio or visuals in your presentations. Each workshop room will have a laptop hooked to a LCD projector and screen; with presentation clicker.
