West Wenatchee Area Substation Siting Chelan County PUD is seeking a location for a new substation to serve the West Wenatchee area. The existing substations currently serving the area are nearing capacity. A new substation is needed to redistribute existing electrical load and serve future growth and development. We are committed to involving the public in the substation siting process. At the recent neighborhood meeting, we shared more detail about four potential sites (see images below) on the WSU property near Western and Springwater avenues. Each of the four potential sites have been evaluated by PUD staff on the basis of system, land, and environmental considerations in the Evaluation Matrix (see image below). Now, we want to hear from you! We would like you to rank each of the sites based on Aesthetic and Neighborhood Values. We are asking for your feedback by March 24.Please see below for more instruction. Your feedback will be incorporated into the Evaluation Matrix. We will reach out later this month summarizing what we heard and next steps. If you have any questions, please contact customeroutreach@chelanpud.org or 509-661-8563. Question Title * 1.
