Welcome

The Downtown BID was created in 2005 to unify Downtown property owners around the maintenance and management of Downtown’s common area spaces. The BID was renewed in 2020 for a 10-year period with a 73% approval rating from Downtown ratepayers. All ratepayers – including those who own tax-exempt parcels – contribute financially to the BID, and funds are used to make and keep Downtown Missoula clean, safe, and economically vibrant.

Since its inception, the Downtown BID has helped attract more than $850 million dollars of investment to Downtown, guided the implementation of the Downtown Master Plan, and dramatically improved both the cleanliness and safety of Downtown Missoula.

As a financially-contributing ratepayer, you are an important stakeholder. Your input and support are vital to the health and well-being of the organization and the projects and programs that the BID undertakes. The BID Board of Trustees – comprised of seven (7) Downtown property owners – value your feedback and thank you for completing the annual Ratepayer Survey.

Please know BID Board Meetings are public meetings, and ratepayers are always welcome to attend. The BID Board meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 3pm at the Downtown Missoula Partnership Office (218 E. Main). For more information, contact Executive Director Linda McCarthy via phone (406-543-4238) or email (linda@missouladowntown.com).
