Defence Force Welfare Association Survey

The Workplace Remuneration Arrangement (WRA) 2023-26 is the mechanism by which members of the ADF receive salary and salary-related allowance increases.

The CDF, on behalf of ADF members covered by the WRA,1 has engaged with the Government and reached an agreed position to present to the Defence Force Remuneration Tribunal (DFRT) for their consideration in early October.

The proposed increase, 11.2% over the term of the arrangement (three years), to salary and salary-related allowances comprises:
  • 4% - from 9 Nov 23 (to take effect 23 Nov 23)
  • 3.8% - from 7 Nov 24 (to take effect 21 Nov 24)
  • 3.4% - from 6 Nov 25 (to take effect 20 Nov 25)
The Defence Force Welfare Association (DFWA) will be presenting to the DFRT a submission that reflects the views of members of the ADF.  DFWA is conducting this survey inform the DFRT of the views of ADF members, completely separate to that of the Government and ADF.

In previous WRAs, DFWA has been instrumental in successfully lobbying for changes to the Government / ADF proposed increases, in particular that no conditions of service are adversely affected to “pay” for salary increases. This has been a significant win for ADF members.

This survey is therefore YOUR opportunity to ensure the DFRT knows the views of ADF personnel (and their families) instead of relying on the views of Government and the ADF.

This survey will be available until 23:59 (AEST) Tuesday 26 September.
