Introduction

Thank you very much for taking part in this survey.
The Centre for Perioperative Care has been commissioned by NHS England to prepare a Fellowship in Perioperative Care for medical specialists in order to help meet the significant demands on surgical services in managing complex patients across their perioperative journey.

The purpose of the curriculum is to describe the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for a senior doctor to manage and enable the holistic care of a person as they consider, prepare for and recover from surgery. The intention is that doctors from multiple medical disciplines will be able to participate in the Fellowship programme in order to develop expertise in leading perioperative care teams.
This survey is being conducted so that stakeholders have the opportunity to provide feedback regarding the content of the new curriculum; its feasibility in terms of delivery and to help us understand how these changes may impact different social groups. The findings will inform the curriculum submission to NHSE, particularly the stakeholder engagement report and equality impact assessment.
Before submitting your feedback, we strongly recommend you read the curriculum documentation on our website.
NB: This consultation relates to the content of the curriculum for the Fellowship in Perioperative Care. Training programmes will be developed once the detail of the curriculum has been approved. Whilst suggestions regarding implementation of the curriculum are welcome; please bear this in mind when submitting your feedback.

CPOC takes data protection seriously and fully complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the 'GDPR'). The Privacy Notice for the survey can be found here.
