The program runs from September 2024 to May 2025. If selected as a GEM mentee, you'll engage in one-to-one mentorship and participate in diverse learning opportunities for personal and professional growth.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:
1. While we aim to align Mentors and Mentees based on shared career interests and experiences, we cannot guarantee a specific career match. The matching process considers multiple factors, and always prioritizes shared interests, experiences, and personality traits in addition to the mentee's professional aspirations.
2. To qualify as a GEM Mentee, you must live in the GTA or Hamilton, and be enrolled in high school at the start of the program in September 2024.

3. The second phase of this application involves a self-directed interview using a platform called Kira. To complete the interview component of this application, you'll be emailed a link and must submit your interview by the deadline.
4. Previous GEM program participants are ineligible to reapply.

Note that your application isn't complete until the parental waiver is filled out.

TIMELINE:
1. Application Period: November 2023 to April 30th, 2024. Applications for anyone in Hamilton is open until August 30th.
2. Interview Period: February 2023 to June 16th, 2024
3. Successful Applicants Notified: Early to mid July
