WHAT IS THE ADCES DIABETES TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE

A live two-day educational, training and networking opportunity that will go beyond continuous glucose management (CGM) devices. We will explore insulin pumps, AID systems, novel insulin delivery devices, diabetes metrics, pattern management and discover what's next in the future of diabetes technology. Experts from the field and industry partners will be available to answer questions on the use of these devices and how they improve outcomes for people with diabetes. There will also be opportunity to wear a CGM device. Participants can expect to walk away with:
  • Hands-on device trainings - touch, feel and even wear the latest diabetes technology.
  • Data interpretation - beyond the metrics: identifying patterns and individualizing care.
  • Technology burnout - recognizing and mitigating/decreasing diabetes distress.
  • Billing for services - learn what's covered and get reimbursed in your practice.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
$500 to assist in covering the cost of the registration fee and/or travel to ADCES's 2024 Diabetes Technology Conference being held on December 13-14, in Chicago, IL.
PURPOSE
This scholarship is awarded to an active ADCES diabetes care and education specialist.
ELIGIBILTY
  • Applicants must be an active member of ADCES for at least the past two continuous years at the time the application is submitted.
  • It is recommended that participants have two or more years' experience in diabetes care and education.
  • Applicants cannot have received another ADCES scholarship in the past three years.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND DATES
  • Applications must be submitted at least 15 days prior to the event (November 28, 2024).
  • To allow time to arrange travel, scholarships will be approved via email up to 10 days prior to the event.
  • Upon completion of the conference and verification of attendance, the scholarship reimbursement will be mailed.
  • The number of scholarships awarded is based on available funding.
