As a people of Christian faith in the Anglican Diocese of Niagara we are called to life and compelled to love. With this call to action in mind, applications are invited for the Walking on Water (WOW) grants program. The people of our parishes and ancillary ministries and programs have initiated and developed numerous programs, projects, and ministries with the support of WOW Grants. Since 2014 grants have been given to provide support and encouragement for new ministry initiatives that renew or deepen the scope of current ministry.
Grants are available to parishes, chaplaincies, missions, and other related affiliates of the Diocese of Niagara. One-time grants of up to $20,000 can be applied for a new ministry program or project or for an existing ministry to take it to the next level.
The written portion of the application will be reviewed by the WOW Grant Discernment Team. This team consists of the Diocese’s Parish Development Missioner, the Community Missioner, and several volunteers from across the diocese. Applications that meet the requirements of the WOW Grant including connecting well with the Parish MAP (for parishes) and Diocesan MAP (for other ministries affiliated with the diocese) will be invited to make a presentation on February 8, 2025. Applicants, please keep this date free as there are no alternate presentation dates. The presentation will be 15 minutes or less, followed by a time of question and answers with the WOW Grant Discernment Team.
