Code Cohort Public Engagement Survey |
Several communities in the front range northwestern metro area of Colorado are working together through a coordinated effort to adopt a consistent building energy code throughout the region. The Code Cohort’s goal is to adopt a consistent base energy code throughout the region (IECC 2021) as well as supporting amendments that align with the region’s sustainability, climate, and resiliency goals. See participating communities listed below. (Note: nearly 40 jurisdictions across Colorado have announced plans to adopt the 2021 IECC or have done so already. A couple communities in the Cohort have already adopted the 2021 and supporting amendments but are included in the effort for better collaboration and consistency.)
The Cohort would like to collect public feedback on the supporting amendments being considered before the amendments are made final for each community. The 2021 IECC amendments being considered can be found here and a webinar discussing each amendment can be viewed here.
Thank you for providing your feedback on these important building code updates!
