In support of the Daniel’s Law Task Force and the State of New York, NYSTEC is asking community members with experience contacting crisis services for their opinions. NYSTEC is an independent (non-state) consulting company.

The Daniel’s Law Task Force was created to find ways to support trauma-informed, community-based crisis responses for anyone in the state experiencing a mental health, alcohol use, and/or substance use crisis. A crisis happens when a person experiences an intense behavioral, emotional, or psychiatric response to an event. Crises may be caused by a single major event or a series of smaller events. Crises can happen for many reasons, including from things that are happening within a person or because of outside events. Usually, it is a mix of both. A crisis is not always an emergency, but it can become one if it is not addressed in the right way.

Responses to this survey are voluntary and will be analyzed by NYSTEC, who will pull together the results to ensure responses remain confidential.

The survey will take about 30 minutes to complete. We ask that you complete the survey and submit your responses by July 10, 2024.

We appreciate your thoughts and your time.

If you have questions and/or need the survey in another language, please reach out to amaggard@nystec.com.
