Fifth Annual Gathering

WIBA 2021

July 29-31, 2021
Renaissance Nashville Hotel
Nashville, TN
Poster Session: Thursday July 29 5-6:30pm CT

WIBA 2021 will be a hybrid conference providing both an in-person and virtual event.  For our fifth annual conference, WIBA will continue what it does best: providing a venue where women behavior analysts can strengthen their skills in the science of behavior analysis and professional skills including self-advocacy, negotiations, public speaking, conflict resolution and creating and implementing work systems to name a few.

Please note that all presenters (virtual and in-person) must register for at least the day of the conference they are presenting.  Registration for both virtual and in-person will open on April 1, 2021.  Registration fees are posted on the conference website here:

To continue to strengthen the unique atmosphere of WIBA, we are looking for posters on the topics of:

Women’s Issues--Presentations may feature information on gender pay gap, motherhood, work-life balance, childcare in the workplace, women leading small businesses, overcoming obstacles, and/or tributes to historic female figures of behavior analysis and their contributions, etc.

OBM/Leadership—Presentations may feature information on: negotiations, business compliance, mentorship, leadership, performance based pay, supervision, staff retention, and/or performance feedback, etc.

Women in Research—An opportunity for women authors or co-authors to share their innovative research in behavior analysis- applied or basic.  Attendees want to experience more data-based presentations that they can also apply in their daily work.  Research may include topics such as inclusion, parent training, ACT, working with schools, social skills, and feeding issues, etc.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion -- Presentations promoting diversity within our field.   We are looking for dynamic presentations that will give our audience the tools to make sustainable improvements in the diversity of our field. Topics may include but not be limited to: discussions supporting the LGBTQ+ community, Black and Latin representation in the behavior analysis field, cultural sensitivity with families including various socio-economic groups, etc.

Outside the Box— WIBA is a conference that features topics on how to apply behavior analysis to world problems (i.e. outside the box of autism treatment).  For example: animal behavior, athletics/fitness, behavioral medicine and health, working in the prison system, environment/sustainability, and/or safety, etc. If you have a presentation that does not “fit the mold,” please consider submitting anyway.

To apply, complete the survey below.  Due date for all submissions is July 1, 2021 at 12:00 AM EST.  Responses for all submissions will be July 7, 2021.
