This Thanksgiving, the Advocacy Committee is collecting pies, money, and nonperishable food items to donate to families in need within Montgomery County. We sincerely appreciate your generosity and efforts to care for families both in the hospital and community. If you have any questions, please contact marianjoy.spirnak@gmail.com.
You can help out in three ways:
1) We are collecting pies and/or money to donate to Nourishing Bethesda (NB), a local organization that addresses food insecurity in Montgomery County. NB has identified that they are short on pies for this upcoming food allocation, and we have a goal to donate 50 store-bought pies.
To help with tracking our goal, we are asking you to fill out this survey as a "pie pledge."
All pies must be brought to the resident room on 20NOV no later than 1200, to ensure freshness and that they can be delivered to Nourishing Bethesda when we drop them off at 1300 on 20NOV.
2) All money collected for this effort will go into purchasing requested food items by Nourishing Bethesda, with the remaining funds being donated to this organization for future food drives. Please send funds by 19NOV @ 1600 so that we can purchase food items that evening and drop them off on 20NOV. Please Venmo @Marian-Joy-Baluyot with the description "For Nourishing Bethesda."
3) Donating Non-Perishable Food: Now through 20DEC, we are collecting nonperishable food items to donate to families in need within Montgomery County for the holiday season. Please stop by the resident room anytime before 20DEC to drop off food items.
