The What Firefighters Want in 2025 survey explores your perspectives on the fire service’s safety culture, including your take on the relationship between aggressive firefighting tactics and safety directives. We want to hear about your personal experiences on the fireground as well as your views on your department’s approach to risk, training and fireground tactics.

Note: Respondents should currently be active with a fire service agency to include career, volunteer, combination and county/state/federal agencies in the United States or Canada. General references to “firefighter” include all ranks, from firefighter to fire chief.
