CILC, alongside The Young Diplomat, is offering a training for diplomats from embassies of MENA-countries in The Netherlands. This training, funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, helps diplomats of MENA countries in The Netherlands acquire knowledge on a range of themes, as well as offers an introduction to a relevant network in The Netherlands. 
 
The themes addressed in the training are:
  1. Dutch political system and democratic values.
  2. The International and European institutions in The Hague.
  3. Dutch expertise in Water, also in relation to climate change.
  4. Dutch expertise in Agriculture, also in relation to Food Security and Innovation.
  5. The role of The Netherlands in the World (focussing on the Dutch culture and its global interests).
 
If you are interested in applying for this training, which will take place in 2023, please answer the below questions and submit your application by 12th of May 2023. Please note the following selection criteria:
  1. You are from or represent one of the following countries: Algeria; Bahrein; Egypt; Kuwait; Iraq; Iran; Jordan; Lebanon; Libya; Morocco; Oman; Palestinian Territories; Qatar; Saudi-Arabia; Syria; Tunis; United Arab Emirates; Yemen;
  2. You are a diplomat or policy officer at one of the following organisations: ICJ, ICC, Special Tribunal for Lebanon, Permanent Court of Arbitration, OPCW and UNOCHA;
  3. You have a maximum of four years’ work experience at an Embassy or international organisation in the Netherlands;
  4. You have a good working knowledge of English.
