Soulshine is hosting a series of listening circles--those for survivors and those for practitioners who may also identify as survivors. Listening circles for survivors are intended to create community and space where survivors can share--the struggles, triumphs, and all that sits in-between. They are intended to honor the wisdom of each survivor and to learn what has been helpful and what has been a barrier in their healing process. These circles allow for survivors to hear from and connect with each other. They also provide insight to inform coordinated efforts to support survivors' healing in the future.
Listening circles for practitioners are intended to create community and space where those committed to the holistic wellbeing of survivors can share about their experiences working with survivors, identify gaps in their own knowledge, expertise, or places where they believe survivors are being underserved, and express curiosity about how they can strengthen their approach and offerings to better meet the needs of survivors.
We recognize many practitioners may also identify as survivors, and vice versa. We encourage you to bring your whole self to any listening circle you participate in. If you're uncertain of which to select, please consider your primary interest in attending a circle and allow that to guide you. If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at hello@seemysoulshine.org.
