SWI Junior Dippers Grant 2024
SWI Junior Dippers Grant 2024
The SWI national body has been successful in securing a funding pot of £1,500 for SWI Junior Dippers projects across Scotland. This funding is thanks to the W. M. Mann Foundation, and it is particularly interested in members passing on skills and encouraging the growth of SWI Junior members.
We now invite applications for up to £300 from Federations and Institutes around the country. Perhaps you run a Junior Dippers group, or maybe you would love to start a new one – we want to hear from you!
The grant is available to members interested in nurturing the next generation of SWI Junior members. The SWI Board are very clear in that we would expect the Children and Young people to eventually become SWI Junior members.
Here are some ideas of how the grant could be used:
bringing children and young people together to learn new skills, particularly in crafting, cooking and baking activities
raising awareness of SWI Junior Dippers programme through an open day or digital advertising to promote learning and skill sharing in your local community
providing opportunities for SWI members to share their much-valued skills with children and young people.
We are keen to hear your ideas!
Any Institute or Federation can apply, but please channel your application through your local Federation. This will ensure we don’t lose any applications and the Federation can get an idea of the demand for the area.
You can apply for up to £300 per Federation or Institute. Depending on demand and uptake, the Board have the authority to amend any details and criteria.
We want to hear your plans to encourage creativity in your community, raise awareness of SWI Junior Dippers, encourage SWI Junior Members and inter-generational activities.
