Competencies in Your Career: Universal Management Competencies
Join us for a lively discussion of the role of competencies in getting (and performing) a job. Led by Dr. Dave Rambow, we will learn why competency is a trending word today. Organizations need competent managers in all specializations to achieve desired results. Competency does not mean performance; however, competency is essential for performance. Performance is a function of a manager’s applied skillsets. Competency is the level of performance effectiveness of a manager’s applied motivation and skillsets across a wide range of situations. This presentation will discuss the universal competencies needed by all managers in a wide range of situations. Finally, competency management leads to superior performance and provides the foundational data that supports strategic HRM strategies in talent management, workforce planning, staffing, performance management, and career planning and development.
Dr Rambow will have numerous activities to engage participants in sharing their out experience and understanding of management competencies.
